Briskway ("we", "us") is a pre-launch, fixed-price ride service based in Toronto, Ontario. This page explains what personal information we collect through briskway.ca, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We follow Canada's federal privacy law, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

Waitlist form. When you join the waitlist we collect the one contact you choose to leave (phone number, email address, Telegram handle or WhatsApp number), the services you say you're interested in, any free-text comment, and a promo code if you enter one. Leaving a contact is your choice and your consent to be contacted about the launch.

Price calculator. Addresses you type into the fare calculator are sent to our mapping providers (Geoapify for address suggestions, OSRM for route length) to compute a price estimate. We do not store the addresses you look up; they are processed transiently.

Site analytics. We may collect basic, privacy-respecting usage statistics: pages viewed, the site you arrived from, time on page, approximate region, and device type. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell data — this measurement exists only to understand whether the site works well.

Why we collect it

To message you once when we launch (and apply your 20% first-ride discount if you answered the interest question), to size demand for specific routes and services, and to improve the site. Nothing else.

Where your information lives

Waitlist entries are stored on our own secured server located in Toronto, Canada. Access is limited to the founder and the systems that send launch notifications.

Who we share it with

We never sell or rent personal information. It is processed only by the service providers that make the site work: our hosting provider, our mapping providers (Geoapify, OSRM — they receive typed addresses, never your contact details), and the messaging platform you choose for contact (for example Telegram or WhatsApp) when we message you there.

How long we keep it

Waitlist contacts are kept until the launch campaign is complete or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first.

Your rights

You can ask at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — one email is enough: ridebriskway@gmail.com. We answer within 30 days.
